Shannon Carter is set to change that. Last month the City of Keller approved Carter’s plans for Shannon Brewing Co., which he hopes to officially open in February. Property owner Joe McCombs will lease the land to Shannon Brewing Co., which plans to build a craft brewery production facility. The brewery will share 20 acres of land with McCombs’ business, Samantha Springs, a water delivery service company that bottles part of the 200,000 gallons of water a day produced by the spring. Sales and volume up double-digits in first six months of 2013 The steady and sustained growth of American craft brewing continued during the first half of 2013, according to mid-year data released by the Brewers Association (BA). The not-for-profit trade association, which represents the majority of U.S. breweries, announced that during the first six months of 2013, American craft beer dollar sales and volume were up 15 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Over the same period last year, dollar sales jumped 14 percent and volume increased 12 percent.
